The Heart of Stone Part 2...

Here's the first CG model of the heart of stone. I want to make 3 models: No. 1 will be a basic model. No. 2 will have few cracks on the model and No. 3 will have the broken section which reveals the fleshy insides.

Here's a few renders with some basic lighting.

I still need to add a dirt map and I want to test out a toon shader just to see how it looks for the t-shirt.

The Heart of Stone...

Based on Ezekiel 11:19 God promised that he would take away the stony hearts of man and give a fleshy heart, that is pliable, if we obey Him. So in order to create this motif in my film I wanted to place a CG heart of stone on the male character's shirt. Here are a few thumbnails of the logo I was thinking about. I want it to appear as a normal t-shirt, but the heart will beat and the stone will crack once throughout the film.

 

 I was thinking of having the entire film in B&W and only allowing color on a few key spiritual elements. The heart's fleshy insides, the fire, the Bible etc. And once the film has the climax the wind will blow color into all of the remaining shots.
